Due to popular demand, Sam Jacobs’ City of London walking tours are back!

This time, with a focus on the political landmarks of London, Sam will guide us through a variety of historical, political sights going as far back as protest and revolution in Roman times up to Black history, Gay rights and Jewish emancipation. Landmarks include the site where a bomb was planted by the Suffragettes, the Bank of England and Stock Exchange and beautiful new green spaces associated with the political challenges of climate change.

Spanning multiple political eras and agendas, the walk will be full of discussion and debate.

Sam Jacobs

Sam Jacobs is a Circle Square member with a passion for the history of London. He studied English Literature at Cambridge University and is a qualified City of London guide. He has worked in the technology industry since the 1990s and is a Londoner through and through. Sam has recently published a new book, “Literary Sights of the City of London – from Chaucer to Harry Potter.”
