About Georgi ‘Jojo’ Dimitrov
Georgi ‘Jojo’ Dimitrov is a Bulgarian classical guitarist pursuing his MA at the Royal Academy of Music London, where he is awarded with the Bicentenary Scholarship. Amongst his many accolades, he is the current holder of the Musicians’ Company’s prestigious New Elizabethan Award 2024-25 for solo performance, with a debut at the Wigmore Hall. As the winner of the 1st European Bach Guitar Award 2022 in Darmstadt, Georgi toured Europe including the prestigious Bach Fest Leipzig. He is the first-ever classical guitarist to perform at the Bach Fest Leipzig, where his interpretations of Bach’s music were critically acclaimed and received a standing ovation. Georgi has performed in other major venues in Europe such as the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, Rocca di Dozza, Bulgaria Hall, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Sobornaya Palata, Minoritensaal Graz, Konzerthaus Blaibach , and Stadtcasino Basel.
