One Hundred Dreams: Colour and Light with Award Winning Artist, Ardyn Halter
In November 2024, a stained-glass window designed for an Ohio church sold for 12.5 million dollars. Stained glass is both a deeply traditional and a vitally modern medium, gaining renewed interest on both sides of the Atlantic. The artist Ardyn Halter has designed and crafted stained-glass windows commissioned for locations in Rwanda, Israel, the USA, and the UK, with his most recent work being for Cambridge University.
We are delighted to invite you to a talk with Ardyn about the history of stained glass art. He will explain the process of glassblowing and how it is transformed into windows. Additionally, Ardyn will showcase work from his latest series, “Light Paintings.” These stained glass windows are designed to require no natural light, as they come in LED frames, allowing them to be displayed as pictures anywhere.
