Sights of the City Part II with Sam Jacobs
In Part II of Sam’s much-loved London walks, we’ll be starting from St Paul’s Cathedral exploring the history of this iconic landmark. We see Shakespeare’s theatre, the remains of the Blackfriars monastery, discuss the Apothecaries and livery companies and walk beside the River. We take in and identity the city vista, see Roman Ruins, the old London Bridge entrance, the Monument, a garden in a ruined city church, and a pre-1666 pub. We follow the line of the Roman wall as we complete the circuit of the city with many surprises en-route. We’ll finish in the Aldgate area.
