Why the Budget Could be Good for You!
The October Budget announced that pensions would be brought into investors’ taxable estates on death from April 2027. This news has brought about one of the biggest changes to planning strategies we have seen over the last two decades.
In collaboration with Rathbones, one of our trusted partners, their expert Financial Planners and Investment Managers will lead a discussion on:
– What are the changes, and how investors are responding so far
– Options for your pension fund and retirement planning (including spending, investing, structuring, charitable giving)
– Smart ways to transfer wealth to the next generation
– How to get more out of your retirement
We would be delighted if you would join us for this important discussion.
About the Speakers
Simon Maydon, Senior Financial Planning Director at Rathbones
Simon’s specialisms centre around pensions, investments, and long term tax planning. His clients are largely made up of barristers at a variety of chambers across the Inns of Court and solicitors at firms such as Freshfields, Herbert Smith Freehills, and Stephenson Harwood. He also helps accountants, entrepreneurs and some retired folks.
Simon loves bringing order and simplicity to his clients’ financial affairs, giving them the peace of mind that we have considered everything that they would otherwise need to think about themselves. His aim is to free up their time to allow them to focus on their own work, families and personal interests. Outside of work, Simon’s attention is on his wife and three young children, and planning holidays to visit their family around the world. He also tries to squeeze in a healthy dose of test cricket and southern hemisphere rugby.
