Julia, a Lifted Carer

With over ten years of experience in the caring sector, Julia is one of our beloved Home Carers. Julia has supported individuals living with a number of conditions, including cancer, autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease. She shared with us that she developed a love of caring when her grandmother was diagnoses with Alzheimer’s, at which point she began to help to care for her.

Her skills don’t stop there – she is also multilingual, speaking both English and Portuguese fluently. She is also a talented cook and loves to provide delicious meals for her clients. Julia is well-loved by our Lifted families and appreciated for her patient, caring, and friendly nature.

About Rachael Crook, CEO and co-founder, Lifted

Rachael Crook co-founded Lifted after her mother was diagnosed with dementia aged 56. When the time came, Rachael and her family began to look into some professional care. She was shocked at how difficult this was to arrange, the lack of transparency over the care experience, and the lack of support given to Carers.

Naturally, Rachael was driven to make change, and subsequently co-founded Lifted to help with every step of the care journey and make sure no-one cares alone. The app is the innovative feature at the forefront of the service that really embodies Rachael’s mission.
