The Business of Music at Tileyard London
Music is a powerful and universal force that profoundly governs human brain function, emotion, and social connection. A soundwave hitting any part of the brain releases chemicals (dopamine and serotonin) which light up every part of the brain – emotion, memory, movement, pain management and all cognitive functions. MUSIC TELLS US HOW TO FEEL.
The Music Industry is booming like never before. No longer under the control of the major record companies, the music business has never been so independent and democratised. So, it has become a land of opportunity. The business has now become an integral part of the wider entertainment industry too, so broadening its reach and penetration like never before.
Tileyard in King’s Cross has become the country’s best example of the UK music and entertainment business’s ecosystem of complementary creative businesses.
Hosted by Nick Keynes, Director and Co-founder of Tileyard, and Rick Blaskey, Managing Director of The Music and Media Partnership Ltd, we invite you to join us for a unique event behind the scenes, to experience the heartbeat behind what makes this industry tick, thrive and provide such a wealth of opportunities for creators, entrepreneurs and business partners.
Our event will include talks from major music industry business figures, a live performance and even an opportunity to record a song!
Tickets: £20 members, £25 non-members. Places are limited, early booking recommended!
